    Meet Will
     

 
William is an adorable and intelligent young man who loves listening to country music and watching movies. He likes to sing and color pictures too.

William even has a special trick - he can make his eyes shake. He can't explain how he makes his pupils vibrate back and forth, he just can. William is very laid back and prefers quieter activities, like putting together puzzles or reading a book.

William is very thoughtful, warm and loving and would do well with structure. He excels with one-on-one attention and is looking for a caring and patient family. This pleasant and responsible boy would do best in an active home.

And Isabella makes five


Ron and Christy Lukemire first met Isabella when she was just 2 days old. 

 

 

Now the beautiful 1-year-old is officially the baby of the family. Her adoption was finalized last week. We love the look on her brother's face. Her older sister was all smiles during the hearing with Judge Ralph Winkler.

 

Congratulations to the Lukemires and thank you for being one of our wonderful foster and adoptive families!

 
New push on for more foster parents

 

You might already have seen the new billboards with Cincinnati City Councilman Charlie Winburn's face on them. A former foster child, he's leading a new drive for more foster families.

 

At any given time, we have about 900 kids in foster care in Hamilton County. Because we don't always have enough local families to care for them all, we often have to place our kids a distance away from Cincinnati. That can make it difficult for them to stay connected to important things like school and friends.

 

We will be joining with Winburn, Child Focus Inc. and other local foster care agencies to certify more foster parents. One of Child Focus' leaders, Pam Lindeman, also was in foster care as a child.

 
Coming soon: collecting hats, gloves, scarves

Remember all those suitcases donated last winter so kids in foster care wouldn't have to carry their belongings in garbage bags? Yes, we got thousands!

The driving forces behind that successful campaign - public relations guru Julie Phillippi Whitney and Sibcy Cline Realtors - have come up with their plan for this winter. 

They're calling it Gloves for Love and collecting hats, scarves, gloves and mittens starting Jan. 4. Items can be dropped off at any of the 22 Sibcy Cline locations throughout Greater Cincinnati and Dayton.
