Keeping in the Loop

North Pool Update

Dear Residents,

As many of you are aware, our North Pool is currently undergoing construction, and I wanted to provide you with an update on its progress. Initially slated for completion by May 1st, the routine whitecoat project encountered unexpected challenges upon the removal of the whitecoat in early March.

During inspection, it was discovered that the cement beneath the coping stones did not meet code requirement, displaying signs of deterioration. Additionally, a structural issue emerged which necessitated the involvement of a structural engineer to ensure the safety and compliance of the pool. While addressing these concerns has caused delays, I think we’ll all agree that it is imperative that we prioritize the integrity and safety of our pool.

Regrettably, the North Pool will not be opening on-schedule this season. However, Signature Pool Management is working diligently towards a mid-June targeted opening to ensure, that when it does open, it meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

The good news is that we are fortunate to have our beautiful South Pool, which will open on Saturday, May 25th at 10:00am. Weekend and weekday hours will be posted and emailed once they are solidified juggling during school hours/after school is out for the summer/swim team practices.

Thank you for your patience, understanding and trust as we work through these challenges (as quickly as possible!). June's newsletter will have updated information on the progress and ideally, an opening date for the North Pool announced. If you have any questions, please shoot me an email, give me a call or stop by the office. Always happy to see you!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Yards, Weeds, Mold and Mailboxes

Now that the warmer weather seems to be here to stay, our lawns are rapidly growing, weeds and all! Please made sure your beds are weeded and mulched, lawns are mowed on a weekly basis, bushes are trimmed, and your yard is in good order. All toys/chairs/sport nets, etc. need to be put away every night. Take a look around your entire house - is there mold/dirt on your siding? If the answer is yes, it's time for a power wash. Stroll to the mailbox - is your box or post in need of mold removal? Paint? Straightening? Is your box rusty or broken? If so, a little (or a lot!) of TLC is in order. Every resident in Forest Lakes is obligated per our Covenants and Restrictions to keep their properites in good order and appearance. Help keep Forest Lakes a beautiful neighborhood in which to live!
