POOL NOTES

** Pool entry is now through Membersplash. Haven't signed up yet? Click HERE.

** Nanny Passes and Legacy members cannot bring in guests! Nanny's can only come to the pool with their charges and no others.

** Need more guest passes? You can purchase more through your Membersplash account (there is a small convenience fee) or you can come to the office with cash or check and we can put them on your account. Passes are $2 per guest.

** If you are bringing in more than 10 guests in one day, you will need to come into the office with a guest list and prepay for all guests. If you have questions, please call the office!

Scooters - Path Etiquette

All scooter riders (and parents of scooter riders1) please remember that walkers ALWAYS have the right of way on our paths. Do not expect anyone to move off of the path for you - rather you need to step aside for them. Get off the path and wait for them to pass. Parents, please talk to your scooter riding kids! Please be courteous and respectful - much appreciated.

If You've Lost It, We've Probably Found It

We've collected quite an assortment of lost items in the FLCA office - from cell phones to keys to pickleball racquets. Please check with us if you've lost anything, we'd love to find their owners. We also keep a running list of anything you've lost (but hasn't been found yet) just in case it's turned into the office so we know who to contact.

YARD SIGNS

Forest Lakes Rules and Regulations state that all event-based yard signs must be down within 7 days after the event. So if you've had a sign in your yard for too long, please take it down. Thanks!

Mark Your Calendars - Sangria Night at the South Pool

Please bring an appetizer/snack to share. We'll have tins with ice on the tables to keep food cool and baskets of chips for dipping (so no need to bring any!)

TENNIS and PICKLEBALL NEWS

Hello again everyone!

As we head to our first full month of summer, I wanted to recap what we had so far and what we can expect in July: 

June recap: 

1. We had a very fun social to kick off the first week of summer with our Forest Lakes juniors and adults on June 14. We had 18 players enjoy 4 rounds of tennis, snacks, and Popitos Pizza! Thank you to Lauren Zayas of Popitos for delivering the most delicious pizza! 

2. Another June event included our first Daytime all day Academy Camp! I thank all the kids for participating in our camp and those who took advantage of the daytime training clinics and match plays throughout the week!

3. We also hosted our first USTA Junior Tournament this past Friday with 51 kids. It was a hot one, but what a success! I look forward to seeing even more of our kids in the July and August USTA events. Also thanks to the team of Forest Lakes assistants who helped me monitor and lead the competitors through their matches. Ellie, Jessica, Amy, and Julia, without your help, it would not have run as smooth! I am always looking for volunteers for these events, so if you are interested, please email me. We have 2 more this summer (one in July and one in August). 

4. Claytech has been applied to all courts - they're looking good!

Upcoming events for July: save the dates and check this out! Let me know if you have any questions about any of the events below! 

1. Sunday, July 7: Resident FREE FOR ALL TENNIS social: 11-1 pm | This is a perfect time to come play and find out what is in store the rest of this summer and into the fall/winter schedule. I will also give you some insight about the future of our racquets program. 

2. July 8-11: Youth and Academy Tennis Camp #2: Youth camp will run 9 am-1 pm with tennis, field activities, snack time, and of course swim time. Kids will need to know how to swim during the swim portion. Academy Camp will run 10 am-3 pm. Tennis training clinics from 10-12 pm and match play 1-3 pm Monday-Thursday

3. July 12: USTA Junior Summer Tournament: Age groups include 10's Green Ball, Boy's and Girl's 12's, 14's, and 18's singles.

4. July 14: Breakfast at Wimbledon social 11 am until the end of the Men's singles final! Come for some fun tennis, watch the men's singles final on the North Tennis Deck and partake in some strawberries and cream and other Wimbledon staples. 

5. July 26: Junior Olympics Social 10 am-12 pm (Cost: $20 resident | $25 guest) | PATA Adult Olympic Social 6-9 pm (Cost: $15 resident | $20 guest)

6. July 29-August 2: PATA Twilight Singles Tournament: 2.5-4.5 divisions | Each division played in one night with a player party Friday, August 2 |
