Join us in welcoming Juliette Mucha to the Manitoba Lung Association 

We are thrilled to introduce you to the newest member of our team, Juliette Mucha, who has taken on the role of CEO at the Manitoba Lung Association (MLA). Juliette brings with her a wealth of experience and a passion for making a difference in the community.

Before joining MLA, Juliette had an extensive career dedicated to health and community service. With a background in Business Administration and notable stints in communication and fundraising at not-for-profits like St-Boniface Hospital Foundation and St.Amant Foundation, she's a seasoned leader ready to take on the challenges of promoting lung health in Manitoba.

"The Manitoba Lung Association is different from many health organizations because it’s universal,” Juliette says. “We all must breathe to live – so let’s do all we can to maintain that ability.” Her personal experiences, including carrying an asthma inhaler to her son's sports growing up and facing lung-related challenges like COVID, have built an appreciation for ensuring that all Manitobans have the resources and support necessary to lead healthy lives.

Under the leadership of former CEO Neil Johnston, the MLA developed partnerships with many clinical advocates and agencies to support lung health. Juliette plans to build on this legacy by using community engagement to identify and meet emerging needs. Key areas of focus will include support groups, smoking and vaping cessation programs, and supporting evidence-based research to provide the best services for all Manitobans.

Juliette invites you, our valued partners and supporters, to reach out and share your thoughts. “Whoever is reading this, I welcome them to give me a call,” she says. “Let me know how we are making a difference.
