Reminders:

The Currently Available List:

  • You can view the Currently Available list within the approved applicant portal, which you gain access to once you submit an application and get approved. (Getting 'approved' means that our staff has reviewed your application after submission and has determined you meet our eligibility criteria).

  • Log in and check the Currently Available list often - if you log in and see that there isn't anything currently available, that doesn't mean something won't become listed the next day. Check frequently!

  • Units are first-come-first-serve.

  • If you choose to lease an apartment from the 'Currently Available' list, you will not be assigned dates for the Lottery.

The deadline to apply for the Lottery is May 1

  • TIP: Apply early, get approved, don't wait until May 1! Early approval gains access to the ‘Currently Available’ list, and you may find your ideal apartment prior to the lottery

  • If you don’t find an apartment on the ‘Currently Available’ list prior to May 1: In early May, you will be randomly assigned ‘View and Select’ dates for the Housing Lottery. Check your emails often!

Understanding the Lottery 'View & Select' Windows:

  • The lottery gives approved applicants View and Select dates between early May through early June. Lottery View & Select dates are randomly assigned to Approved Applicants who apply by May 1.

  • Use your assigned 'View Date' to search for apartments you would consider leasing.

  • TIP: Make a list of at least 10 (for your reference), so you can quickly check their availability on your 'Select Date'. Note that your assigned 'Select Date' will typically be the following day after your 'View Date'.

  • On your 'Select Date', Act quickly– you share that date with hundreds of other applicants.

  • A lottery inventory report is posted for those in later window assignments.

Thank you again for joining us, and we appreciate the time that you have taken to review this information. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions - we are happy to help!

Sincerely,
