July 2023 Reminders
As a reminder, the Hometown Heroes Program funds won’t become available again until July 3rd – this is when some requirements will change. But if you have a Hometown Heroes Loan Reserved/Rate-Locked now, you must adhere to the rules in the current Hometown Heroes Program (requirements pre-July 3rd reservation/rate-lock date).
July 3rd Highlights
· The occupational requirement will no longer apply.
· Buyers must work for an employer that is a FL based company, meaning the employer must have a brick and mortar location in FL.
· Buyers must work a minimum of 35 hours a week or more.
· Hometown Heroes will include BOND loans as well.
· New Borrower Certification Form.

From the menu bar locate LEARN then click on COURSES.
Click on Hometown Heroes and then start the course.
Also effective July 3, 2023, the Florida Housing Bond Program will no longer have a 1.00% Origination Fee. The lender will retain the same lender net and the SRP will increase to 2.50%. The borrower will receive more DPA by not charging the Origination Fee. Guidelines will be revised and posted on the eHP web page for Florida Housing by July 3rd.
