Flash Technology Launches a New
DC-Powered Meteorological Lighting Package
New FAA-Approved Solar-Powered System Designed for Wind Energy Towers |
Franklin, Tenn., May 19, 2011 - Flash Technology, a division of SPX, today announced the introduction of a new DC-powered lighting package designed for wind energy meteorological evaluation towers.
The FTS 2301 DC-powered lighting package is an FAA-approved solar-powered obstruction lighting system, developed in response to customer interviews that indentified unmet marketplace needs for wind energy tower lighting. Key Market requirements described the need for a compact, low-power consumption unit with the ability to be powered by solar photovoltaic panels. The new FTS 2301 addresses each of these needs, and offers an efficient, compact design for easy installation and longer life. All lighting products are FAA compliant to AC 70/7460-1K and ETL certified to FAA AC 150/5345-43F.
"The FTS 2301 lighting system, powered by an integrated photovoltaic system with a 24/7 monitoring service, helps assure that developers, assessment companies, and contractors are meeting requirements in safety, regulatory compliance, and liability risk mitigation," says Chris Carpenter, Flash Technology's Manager of North American Business Development. "Flash Technology has been dedicated to helping its clients achieve these three critical needs since 1969".
