Reminder: Bishop Suffragan Nominations Open May 28.

These are exciting days for the Diocese of West Texas! As we discern together who God is calling to become our next bishop suffragan, you may wonder how you can get involved. The Nominating Committee provides guidance for the nominating process:

  • First, and most important, you can pray for the men and women whose hearts God is stirring to become nominees for the office of bishop suffragan.
  • Second, you may be considering someone whom you believe would be well-suited to become our next bishop suffragan.
  • Third, if you want to nominate someone, you must contact that person, forward them the Diocesan profile, and get their consent to be nominated. Then open up the Nomination Form, read it over carefully and follow all the directions. This is the only way a person may be nominated for bishop suffragan.

Remember:

  • Each nominee must be nominated by one lay person and one clergy nominator. Nominators and nominees need not be members of this diocese.
  • The Nominating Committee will begin accepting nominations on May 28.
  • Nominations will close on June 12, and no nominations will be accepted after that date.
