Hi Calvary Family,

I want to express a  “THANK YOU” to everyone that helped to make our Egg Hunt a great success. Everyone’s contribution was vital; whether you filled plastic eggs with candy, invited friends and neighbors, or helped on the day of the Egg Hunt. 

Based on the number of hotdogs we served and the number of cars we parked we can safely estimate that about 1200 members of the community were blessed with a free fun event for their families. The Egg Hunt continues to be a great opportunity for us to demonstrate the love of Jesus and invite members of the community to our church. Many of our volunteers had the opportunity to speak to our guests about the Lord and our church.

As a result, some of those we served on Saturday visited Calvary last Sunday and a couple of teens visited Ignite Youth Ministry for the first time this past Wednesday. The very first family I spoke to told me they have attended before and then proceeded to share how impressed they have been by the friendliness and joy of the volunteers. This gave me the opportunity to share with them the reason for our joy!

THIS SUNDAY is the first Sunday of the month so that means we will be gathering at 6pm for our monthly Praise and Prayer gathering. God is calling us to grow CLOSER TO HIM and to ONE ANOTHER other in 2024. Our First Sunday Praise and Prayer gatherings are a vital way to accomplish both so come on out and join us at 6pm as we draw closer to God and lift one another’s burdens to the Lord in prayer.

Special needs parents and caregivers are invited to a Meet and Greet on Sunday, April 14, in the Welcome Center after the second service. Childcare and light refreshments will be provided. We plan to fellowship, offer some support and encouragement for your special needs journey, and get to know

you in a deeper and more personal way.

Discover Calvary is for anyone interested in becoming a member, as well as for those who would just like to learn more about our vision, mission, beliefs, culture and strategy.

You are invited to attend the class on Sunday, April 14, starting at 1 p.m. in the Wyncote Room. Lunch will be included.

Attention all men! Don’t miss a great opportunity to be strengthened by and strengthen the brotherhood. The theme for this retreat is:  “Call to Return” (Isaiah 30:15)

Cost: Only $159.00 which includes two nights and six meals.

Boys ages 13-17 are welcome if attending with their father or grandfather. The cost for teen boys is $146.00

A $30 non-refundable deposit per person will be required upon registration due to space limitations.

The retreat will be held at Blue Mountain Christian Retreat & Conference Center

In New Ringgold PA, 17960. The Retreat Center is equipped with an outdoor basketball, tennis, and volleyball court and an indoor gym.

Join us for our Facebook Live “Prayer and the Word” on Mondays and Thursday mornings at 6:30am. We begin with a brief SOAP (Scripture/Observation/Application/Prayer). Then we spend time in praise and prayer. Presently we are reading through the Gospel of Matthew.
