This Sunday

Join us for an extraordinary worship experience centered around our new inspiring Proverbs message series. The Book of Proverbs reminds us that seeking God's wisdom requires an earnest and persistent pursuit. This week, we will delve into Proverbs 22:6, which advises parents to train their children in the appropriate path so that even as they grow older, they will remain steadfast in their faith and connection with God. This scripture serves as a timeless reminder for parents to be intentional in their child-rearing, fostering a lasting connection between their children and God.

Give Back With The Weekend Food Ministry

Experience the joy of giving back! Weekend Food has been incredibly fortunate to receive a blessing in the form of nourishing provisions from the prestigious Midwest Food Bank in Haltom City. Our scheduled pick-up days are on the 4th Tuesday morning of each month. We need help getting the food back to the church, and we are calling on pick-up truck owners to help out. If you would be willing to pick up an order, please contact Susan Justitz (sjustitz@gmail.com | 214-208-9460). We can't wait to make a difference together!

Community Meal: Be Our Guest

Aug. 15 | 6 PM | Family Life Center

Come and be a part of our community meal! You'll have the option to dine inside the Family Life Center or prepare your meal to go.

This month the menu will be hamburgers with all the fixings, baked beans, potato salad, and ice cream sandwiches. Enjoy in the Family Life Center or take to-go.

We need your help preparing for the event, plating meals before guests arrive, and greeting guests. We would love to have your help with this incredible mission.

Grayful Spirits The Promise Experience

Limited Tickets Availble

The Grayful Spirits has shared several entertaining activities together during the last few years, and they want to continue exploring with our Christian family.

Grayful Spirits will depart on Friday, October 13, to attend "The Promise," a must-see experience at the Texas Amphitheatre in Glen Rose. The Promise tells the story of the Life of Christ through an award-winning musical score with a 150-person cast and crew, live animals, historically accurate costumes, and breathtaking lights, sound, and special effects.

We will be traveling independently to allow greater flexibility in participating in other activities, which include a group lunch at Snyder’s Tavern and your preferred choice in an exploration of the surrounding attractions such as Dinosaur Valley State Park, Barnard’s Mill and Art Museum, Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, and shops around the Historic Courthouse Square.

Registration and event payment will begin on August 1st online or in person at the church office Monday-Thursday 9 am-5 pm. The cutoff date to register and make payment is Thursday, September 21. Do not delay registering as Grayful Spirits has a limited amount of tickets for the production. Monthly Christian Poem

When taking a walk, there is always some purpose, usually not well-defined. It seems simply the result of my own desire at the time. Sometimes, and then only in retrospect, might a motivation be identified. Still, it may be so inconsequential it doesn’t get another thought. However, when something unexpected occurs (which is always if one is particularly aware), possibilities come into focus in the form of new thoughts, insights, or even visions of a bright, shining new future.

The situation described in the following poem began as just a walk with seemingly no purpose at all. It concluded in a way one can easily imagine in this world …but all worldly expectations become irrelevant at some point. - Steve Kaptain

Our Media and Communication Guide lists deadlines for e-news, updates to the website, ministry spotlights, videos, and more. The First Grapevine Brand Identity Standard Guide will help to ensure that your marketing materials are in line with the church's brand standards. If you have an upcoming event, be sure to let us know by filling out the Room Request form on our website (FirstGrapevine.org/roomrequest) so that our staff can help make your event possible. We couldn't do church without you. Thank you for helping others experience and share God's love!
