On the first anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act, President Biden visited Ingeteam, an energy conversion company that has begun manufacturing EV chargers. The company was recently organized by IBEW 2150.

Labor Broker Prosecuted for Construction Payroll Fraud

Dane County drywall business owner, Gustavo Reyes, was sentenced by a judge to 18 months in prison for tax evasion. Robb Kahl, executive director of the Construction Business Group, said this is the first prosecution of a labor broker for payroll fraud in Wisconsin that the organization is aware of and hoped the state government would prosecute Reyes for the more than $2 million he allegedly still owes.

Milwaukee's Building Trades Partner with United Way

Milwaukee's Building and Construction Trades Council and United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County partnered to provide backpacks with school supplies for Milwaukee area students. The Backpack Coalition program has been serving the community for more than 20 years and has been led by United Way since 2014.

Kent Miller Elected as Laborers' President and Business Manager


The Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council announced Kent Miller as the organization’s president and business manager for the next four years.


“Our members and their families are the lifeblood of our union, and it is our priority to make their lives better. I look forward to continuing to build off our collective accomplishments, and I look forward to leading our union. We need to continue to organize new members and develop new contractor partnerships, as well as doubling down on workforce development and recruitment efforts,” Miller added.
