First Act Theatre Arts brings the best in children’s theatre to students throughout the city! Literature from the classroom comes to life on stage in family-friendly, high-quality productions with colorful costumes, professional staging, energetic choreography and singing. School Day performances are designed specifically for elementary and middle school classes, and more than 3,000 students attend our productions each year. All performers and crew members are students ages 8-18.
First Act Theatre Arts is offering a special rate for our school day performances. Tickets are only $8 each! (Please note, thanks to generous donors we are also able to offer a discounted ticket price of $5 to Title One schools.) We also offer one complimentary adult ticket for every 10 student tickets purchased. Each performance will last approximately 2 1/2 hours with a brief intermission. If students would like to eat a sack lunch at the theatre, there is available space in the lobby of the Bell Center for a picnic-style lunch after the performance and before boarding your bus.
To top it off, we provide free, STANDARDS-BASED lesson plans and materials (for every school day show!) to support instruction before and after the trip to the theatre.
School day performance tickets are going fast and we anticipate that several school day performances will sell out very soon! You may place a reservation (with a tentative ticket amount) to secure your tickets now, however, payment is not due until 2 weeks prior to the performance date.
