Unison Prayer

Jesus, our Savior, in response to your call to be your faithful disciples, we are baptized in the

Ancient of Days, the earth flooded long ago, and we were given a sign: the rainbow, a reminder that Your covenant is with the whole earth, that You will never again destroy the earth by flood. Your covenant is a reminder to us that the world is still broken, but You strive to make it whole. Call us back to your Covenant. Remind us of how You formed the world and made us in your image. Remind us that we come from You, and we return to You, and Your promises never end.

You may be ancient, but You also make all things new.

In Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Call to Worship

L: We worship our God who makes covenant with us.

P: God keeps God’s promises.

L: In the days of Noah, God set God’s bow in the clouds

as a sign of God’s covenant with all of creation.

P: As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and

winter, day and night, shall not cease.

L: In the colors of the rainbow, we see the sign of God’s grace for all creation.

All: Great is God’s faithfulness!

Amen.

Mission Giving for June

Our gifts this month will be sent to support the "Freedom Ranch"

The Freedom Ranch in Brainerd, Minnesota is a project by the Rising Hope Foundation.

It’s a safe home built to provide long-term care and recovery for young girls, aged 12 to 17, who have been rescued from human trafficking. The Freedom Ranch is equipped to house eight girls. In addition to therapy and a safe space, the girls will receive life skills training to prepare them for confident independent living.

Please note on your check or offering if you are making a gift for this mission.

If you have questions around the decisions that were voted on at the General Conference in April, please reach out to Pastor Jen. She will set aside time to meet with you one on one and address your questions and concerns. There will be no changes made at Grace UMC related to the Book of Discipline edits.

Summerfest in Pine River is Saturday June 29th.

Pine River UMC will be selling walking tacos in front of the church that morning and during the parade (while supplies last!)

Kudos to these students on a job well-done!

If you have something that should be added to this newsletter from your group or mission, please speak with Pastor Jen or email the details to her at jenmatt20@gmail.com. The E-Grace is generally completed by noon on Thursdays, so articles need to be received by Thursday 10am at the very latest.

If you wish to connect with me directly and it is not an emergency, please know that I will respond as needed during pretty regular office hours. I am generally in the church on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from at least 10-1, call the office to be sure, as my weeks may vary. I check my emails frequently throughout the day, and this is the best way to contact me. Friday is my day off as needs allow.
