FORBES MAGAZINE LEGAL BLACK BOOK

Forbes magazine has created a select list of top US law firms to be included in the Forbes Legal Black Book . Ballard Rosenberg Golper and Savitt, LLP has made the 2019 list for the third year in a row. Later this year, Forbes will be publishing special Legal Black Book sections in the most widely read issues of Forbes, with a special issue focused on labor and employment law.

We are pleased to announce that for 2020, Best Lawyers in America has named partner Linda Savitt as the 2020 Los Angeles Lawyer of the Year for Labor Law-Management .

In addition, the publication recognized partners Ken Ballard, Richard Rosenberg, Linda Miller Savitt and Of Counsel John Golper in their practice areas of Employment Law/Management, Labor Law/Management Litigation & Labor and Employment. This is the 13th year in a row that our lawyers have been featured in Best Lawyers in America .

U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT

Ballard, Rosenberg, Golper & Savitt, LLP is once again nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Report in three practice areas and regionally ranked in three practice areas in the magazine's " Best Lawyers & Best Law firms " rankings for 2019. The practice areas are labor law-management, litigation–labor & employment and employment law–management. 

According to U.S. News & World Report, law firms included in its 2019 Edition of "Best Law Firms" are recognized for professional excellence with consistently impressive ratings from clients and peers. Achieving a tiered ranking signals a unique combination of quality law practice and breadth of legal expertise. Notably, the 2019 rankings are based on the highest number of participating firms and highest number of client votes received on record. Over 16,000 lawyers provided more than 1,125,000 law firm assessments, and almost 12,000 clients provided more than 107,000 evaluations.


2019 SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SUPER LAWYERS LIST

Several of the firm's lawyers have been included on this year's Southern California Super Lawyers list. The Super Lawyers list , a Thomson Reuters business publication, is a service that rates lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. We are especially pleased to be included on this list because no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers list.

This year's southern California Super Lawyers list includes partners  Ken Ballard, Richard Rosenberg ,  Linda Miller Savitt and Eric Schwettmann. Of Counsel John Golper is also on the list. Our name partners have been included on this list every year since the inception of the ranking.

In addition, Super Lawyers honored partner  Linda Miller Savitt  with two additional accolades. Linda is included on its Top 100 California Attorneys and Top 50 Southern California Attorneys.

New to the Rising Star list this year is Senior Counsel James Demerjian.  Also included on this year's list is Stephanie Kantor (under age 40). Stephanie has been on the list for the past 5 years.

COMMITTEES AND AWARDS

Following in the footsteps of former Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC) President Linda Miller Savitt, Partner Eric Schwettmann has been on the ASCDC Board for a number of years, serving as a member of the Amicus Committee and as Co-Chair of the Employment Law Subcommittee. At the organization’s 2019 Annual Meeting, Eric was the recipient of the Patrick A. Long President’s Award in recognition of his exemplary service in 2018. 

Additionally, Partner Katherine A. Hren is serving another year on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is on the planning committee for the annual Symposium conference .
