After months of development, FreedomComs.org is ready!

A Long Time Coming

While a simple concept, it has taken almost a year to complete. First, I had to think long and hard about how we could create a community-building site while protecting the identity of our members from tyrannical government or malicious corporations.

I was a web developer before I was a freedom fighter and independent journalist, but even so solving this problem was a real challenge.

Our 'Beat the Globalists' fundraising campaign has now reached just over $500.00 per month in monthly donation commitments. Thank you to all of you who have responded so far. If you haven't made a commitment yet please consider doing so today. We are in desperate need of funds we can rely on every month to continue to create great tools like our Fact Sheets at Strong And Free Canada (more of those coming soon), and FreedomComs.org. We also have many other plans that will come into play once we have the funds to cover them.

How FreedomComs.org Protects Your Identity

First, when you sign up, you’ll see that we collect the absolute minimum information we need from you. We don’t even ask for your first name (and certainly not your last). When you register, you’ll be prompted to create a nickname so your handle can’t identify you.

The only pieces of personal information we collect are your postal code and your email address.

You share your postal code with at least 20 other homes. This is the bare minimum number of residences that have the same postal code you do, and the average is 50. We need your postal code to place you on the map so other members can find you, but your postal code is not displayed.

We need your email address so other members can communicate with you, but they never see your email address, and you never see theirs. If you’ve ever used Kijiji to buy and sell stuff, you’ll be familiar with how this works. Emails are sent through our system, so when you send an email, first it goes to our server, then it gets delivered to the recipient. Not only is your email address not displayed, it’s not anywhere on that email! But you can still reply to messages in your email program. Once again, your message gets sent to our server, which uses a numeric key to figure out who you are, then the message gets forwarded to the recipient.

This way you can connect with other members via email, and trade messages until you feel comfortable sharing your identity with them, with no way the government or a corporation could discover your identity.

But Won’t a System Like That Be Open to Abuse?

I’m sure we’ll get a few trolls, but they’re easy to deal with. We built FreedomComs with a simple ‘3 strikes you’re out’ system. If any member gets a complaint against them from at least 3 other members (not 3 complaints from one member) their account is automatically suspended.

Our Community Rules

It’s easy to avoid complaints as The Freedom Communities and Communications Network has only 3 simple rules, and they are prominently displayed on the member’s (logged in) menu.

1. You May Not Incite Violence

Under no circumstances ever suggest or even allude to violence against any party, be it a person or organization. We are committed to non-violent resistance through passive non-compliance with violations of our rights.

2. You May Not Fund-Raise or Promote a Business

FreedomComs is a community-building website. Requesting money, or promoting your business is strictly forbidden. What you do at in-person meetups is up to you and the organizer(s) of such events, but asking for money on FreedomComs.org is not allowed.

3. Be Polite and Respectful

Even here, you may encounter those whose opinions differ from yours. We conservatives often complain that leftists will not engage in respectful debate. Don't be a leftist. Respect other community members and their opinions. Do not register a complaint just because somebody said something you didn't like.

Yet More on Protecting Your Identity

But what if the government hacks the site? This is extremely unlikely as we have excellent site security, however if it did happen, the only information they will find that could identify you is your email address. Unless your address has your full name in it, to connect it to you the government would need a court order for your email service provider. To get that, they would have to provide the court with solid evidence that you are suspected of a crime.

Also, many email hosts (such as gmail, protonmail, etc.) are not in Canada, so our government would have no jurisdiction.

Finally, remember that when the government froze the bank accounts of Canadians for donating to the Freedom Convoy, they had the cooperation of the crowd funding sites and banks. As FreedomComs is free, we don’t ask for financial information from you, so that’s simply not an option for them.

And those of you who have been following my work for any length of time know that I will never, under any circumstances, provide information on our members to the government.

Not going to happen. Ever.

Community Coordinators

When you register, you have the option to volunteer as a Community Coordinator.

Community Coordinators are responsible for welcoming other members who register in their area (within 100 km of you) and for organizing in-person meetups.

To help you do this, Community Coordinators have the ability to send a mass email to everyone in their area. Regular members can only email other members one at a time.

We really appreciate those who step up to be Community Coordinators. You are the core of our system. Do remember though, that Community Coordinators are subject to the same rules as other members. You will receive additional instructions if you volunteer to be a Community Coordinator.

Why FreedomComs Matters

When we were attacked four years ago, lockdowns, censorship and government lies left many people feeling isolated and hopeless. The suicide rate was disastrous, and there are still people today suffering depression from lockdowns that ended two years ago or are dealing with a vaccine injury.

The globalists will attack us again. If you've been reading my updates you know my opinion is that the next attack will be sometime next year.

But this time we’ll be ready, if…

We build these in-person communities. If you can join with other freedom-minded people; people you know on a first name basis; people who believe in freedom as you do, no matter what happens you will have the support of a community.

Even if the globalists, our government or some corrupt mega-corporation shuts down internet communications, you’ll still have a family you can rely on.

The FreedomComs Forum

While the purpose of The Freedom Communities and Communications Network is to build local in-person communities, I’ve also added a forum where you can discuss anything and everything.

Forums have become somewhat passé, having been taken over by social media, but in this case the forum makes sense. As our forum is restricted only to members, you can safely talk about anything, such as how corrupt Trudeau is, without fear of government reprisal, or you can criticize SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity) or vaccines without fear of being cancelled or having your social media account shut down.

I’ve also created a forum for each province where anyone (yes, you) can add a Topic (also called a Thread) for your local area. For example, if you’re in Ontario, you could add a thread for Peterborough. Then all members in the Peterborough area can post to that thread for local news and discussion.

Early this year, I contacted a number of our more generous past supporters to raise funds for the development of FreedomComs. It had been on hold since the previous summer as I simply did not have the time to work on it.

With the funds donated I was able to hire a developer who completed the essential functions; a very time-consuming task. As a matter of interest, the developer is in Ukraine and is himself very freedom-minded and well aware of the globalist agenda. It was a project he was happy to accept.

Your donations allow us to create more tools and information for Canadians to recover and defend their rights.

While at this point in time, memberships at IronWillReport.com are covering about half of our day-to-day expenses, we still rely on donations for the other half. IWR is growing all the time but it will still likely be at least two more years before memberships will cover all of our costs, including special projects like FreedomComs.

Four years into this fight, and we’re still struggling to make ends meet every month. This is why early last month I launched our ‘Beat the Globalists’ fundraising campaign. We need another $2,000 per month in monthly donations to be sure we can cover costs every month.

In the past four years, I personally have gone $30,000 dollars in debt covering shortfalls when Strong and Free Canada didn’t have sufficient income to cover expenses. I can no longer afford to do that. My credit cards are maxed out. My wife and I survive on her teacher’s pension, her earnings as a substitute teacher and what little I can draw from donations and memberships at Iron Will Report. Most months, this is $1500 dollars. My truck has needed new tires for a year and I don’t even have a spare as one of my rims is cracked and it will cost $200.00 to fix it.

I’m not complaining or trying to run a guilt trip on you. I volunteered for this and it has given my life purpose to fight the tyranny of the globalists and do everything I can to help my fellow Canadians. I can’t think of anything I’d rather be doing, but your support can make this so much easier. I can’t pretend it hasn’t been a struggle, and it continues to be a daily challenge.

Day-to-day operating costs for SAFC, Iron Will Report and FreedomComs run to approximately $9,000.00 per month. Four years into this fight, we are still just barely getting by each month. This is why a month ago I launched our ‘Beat the Globalists’ fundraising campaign. Our target is an additional $2,000.00 per month in recurring, monthly donations. To date, we are at $505.00.
