Courts Department launches food drive to help feed children this summer

School is out for the summer, which means some kids who depend on school for food may not get what they need.

Knowing that can happen in our community, Barb with our Court Services Department decided to launch a cereal drive with her team to help feed local children. With hard work from Missy, Terri and many others, 178 boxes and bags of cereal were collected and crafted into “Court Services’ Cereal Market.” The donation went to the Cape Coral Caring Center’s food pantry to help feed kids over the summer months. The Center feeds more than 1,000 children during the summer.

Great work, Court Services!
