I have been doing whatever the estival equivalent of hibernating would be and now it is time to play. (What is estival, you ask? Look it up!) So I will do a solo show at the intimate Rockwood Music Hall (Stage I.) Michael on piano and other guests. I will uncover, or at least let out a little tease about, the new project I have been obsessing over.

What else have I been doing?
I've sung on some great recordings including Donald Fagen's new record, "Sunken Condos" coming out on October 16 (which happens to be my birthday) and Jane Siberry's newest oeuvre. Some gorgeous material. Also did some singing on another big record, but I will disclose this when and if the song makes it on the record! (Fingers crossed.) I'll also be celebrating my birthday singing in Mimi Cohen's show, "To Carry On" as a part of the United Solo Theater Festival. It's a one-woman (with three supporting singers) tribute to the life and music of Laura Nyro. Mimi puts on a great show and the music is, of course, superb. For more info, click here. |
