The students will be expected to arrive to school by 7:45 a.m. and remain in school until the conclusion of their second exam at 12:15 p.m. If you are picking up your child, please utilize the Main Entrance pick-up/drop-off loop. School transportation is available on these days, but not until our regular 2:15 p.m. dismissal time. For those students staying through the afternoon, lunch will be provided and teachers will be available for review sessions. Students may also work in the cafeteria during this time.

It is very important that students prepare for their final exams. The final semester grade in a course is determined by percentage points assigned to each letter grade using the formula 40-40-20. Each quarter is worth 40% of the final grade and the final exam is worth 20% of the final grade. To calculate semester grades, you will double both quarter percentage grades, add the final exam percentage and divide by five.

Some students have been excused from taking their final exams with the end-of-course exam incentive. Exemption forms were sent home, by content teachers, and must be returned to teachers by Friday, May 20, 2022. Students who are excused from a final exam do not have to report to school during the exam time. The attendance office will have sign-in and sign-out tables for these students during the exam days. Final semester grades with exemptions will be calculated using an average of both grading quarters.

I have been impressed this year with the students' hard work and dedication balancing academics with busy activity schedules. I wish students good luck as we close out the school year and to enjoy the summer.

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding this schedule, please contact my office.

Best Wishes,
