Ferrum College to Celebrate 108th Graduating Class and Inauguration of 13th President Saturday, May 4, at 9 a.m.

FERRUM, VA, April 29, 2024 – Ferrum College will celebrate its 108th graduating class and the inauguration of its 13th president, Dr. Mirta M. Martin, on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 9 a.m., in Hart International Plaza on campus.

Nearly 160 undergraduate and graduate students are expected to receive their diplomas during a ceremony highlighted by the investiture of Dr. Martin by Mr. D. Scott Showalter, chair of the Ferrum College Board of Trustees, and a keynote address by Lieutenant Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia Winsome Earle-Sears.

Additional commencement-related events will include a traditional baccalaureate ceremony on Friday, May 3, at 4 p.m. in Vaughn Chapel on campus.

• In the event of rain, the commencement and presidential inauguration will be held in Swartz Gymnasium on campus.
