Challenge Stradale Reunion Tour             12/4/13

Happy Thanksgiving to my CS brotherhood!  If you've been keeping an eye on things, you probably know about the Reunion Tour book and video that will chronicle the event, that each entrant receives  You can check out the pics below of a sample that I put together to get an idea of the look.  It came out great.  I wish you guys could put your hands on it.

We are also getting close on some corporate sponsorship, which is very exciting,

I know it's the Holidays and everyone is going in 10 different directions, but it's probably a good idea to step up and get registered.  Right now, I am going to limit participation to either 43 or 50 cars, based on hotel space. So, the sooner you secure your spot the better.  I've got some ways to secure your spot:

$2500 deposit secures your spot.  If the entire event is paid in full before 2/1/14, you will receive a $500 discount.  So, your cost for the tour will be $5250, instead of $5750.  After 2/1/14, the price goes to the regular $5750. If you wait to pay until after 5/1/14, the price goes to $6250 (+$500)

If you are a procrastinator, you can place a deposit and it will be refundable (less $500), as long as you cancel before 5/1/14.  After 5/1, your deposit will go hard and not be refundable.  That should give you enough time to get your schedule set.

I couldn't be more of a 'wait until the last minute' kind of guy, but in this case, making an early commitment will do a couple of things.  It will secure that you have a spot on the tour and it will also make it so that I can sign agreements with several of the hotels, track and restaurants, etc.

I've got links in the newsletter for the registration packet.  So, all you have to do is click, sign and send it in.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments.

See you soon.

Ciao...

CS Reunion Tour Book

I have put together a mock up of the Tour book that all entrants will receive.  Each book will be individualized to the car's chassis number.  It is sized at 15X12 and hard bound.  Here are a few pics:

The CS Reunion Tour

Take one great car.  Mix in the most passionate owners in the Ferrari world.  Fold in a week long adventure on some of the most beautiful roads and track in the US.  Season with great meals, parties and special events. Throw in a worthy charity for good measure, and you have the makings of memories that will last a lifetime.

Here's the tentative schedule:

8/11/2014
We will gather on Monday the 11th at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa, Lake Tahoe to check-in.  We will hold registration, where everyone will get their credentials, swag bags, route books, car decals, etc.  We will have a no-host cocktail gathering where we can meet, get to know each other, etc.

8/12/2014
After a good night's rest, have breakfast and then hit the roads around Tahoe and head for our next stop, Chico and the Hotel Diamond, a very cool, boutique hotel.

The day's ride will take in the roads around lake Tahoe.  We will go back to the Hyatt, gather for lunch, check out and head for Chico and the Hotel Diamond.  We will have a Happy Hour at the hotel, where they have a cool wine event planned.

8/13/13
After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the track day at Thunderhill!! For those that don't know this track, it is brilliant.  We will have the place to ourselves to go out when we want, and enjoy driving in a no stress, non racing environment.  I have selected The Wounded Warrior Project as the charity for the event.  We will get some vets out for some rides for the charity and some additional fundraising.  Expect some media attention!

After the track, we head back to the Diamond Hotel, clean up and have a group dinner at the hotel.

8/14/14

Thursday has the group heading for Napa Valley and wine country.  I've selected some great roads on our way into town.  We will be at the Westin Resort.  After check in, we will head to the Andretti Winery for a special event, lunch and hopefully a visit from Mario.

8/15/14
After breakfast, we will head towards Monterey and catch the Pebble Beach/Monterey/Laguna Seca weekend.

The host hotel for the event is the Seascape Beach Resort.  After the day's drive, we are on our own for dinner, or you can head into town, where we will be hosted at one of the famous Monterey auctions.

8/16/14

We are on our own for breakfast and then we are off to Concourso Italiano, where we will have a CS Reunion Tour area reserved for us.  If you have never been to Concourso, you are in for a massive treat in celebration of all things Italian.

The Tour will conclude with a group dinner with awards, giveaways and lots of fun.

**These are the basic details and may be subject to change.

Extras

  • I am working on sponsorship from various companies that can help with support, swag, etc.
  • We will have a support van to handle  luggage.
  • There will be a mechanic that travels with the tour..... just in case.
  •  Photographer and videographer to document the Tour.  Each entrant will receive a video of the event, as we as a commemorative hard bound, coffee table book.
We currently have a Facebook Page.... Ferrari Challenge Stradale Reunion Tour.  I've also started a Twitter feed... StradTour.

There's more, but that's a good start...
The Charity

The charity I have selected for the event is The Wounded Warrior Project. If you unfamiliar with their work, they are a great organization that provides support and assistance to the wounded men and women that serve our country and fight for our freedom to be able to do events like this.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit WWP.

Fiorano Lap Times

10 years on and the CS is still in the top 10 cars around Fiorano, and only 1.5 seconds off the much more powerful 458.  Take a look at some of the icons the CS out paces...
