So many exciting things are happening in the life of our church!
When I brag to friends and colleagues about all of the wonderful events, programs, and ways God is at work, they often ask how many members are a part of the Fellowship Family. Each and every time, they are surprised at all of the great things we are doing for "such a small congregation". Small but mighty, in my opinion - and growing!

Last weekend, we saw the church filled with friends and visitors who attended the Craft Show and Café. The Café made over $1,100 for the church - so THANK YOU to all who volunteered, made soup, baked cookies and treats, or did anything either in-front or behind the scenes to make it a success.
This weekend, we are equally buzzing with activity:
-
Saturday morning, the Missions Committee is gathering in the Fellowship Hall to pack Thanksgiving meals for refugee families in support with Church World Service - if you're available to 10 am, you're invited to come to join the activity; many hands make light work!
-
Sunday morning, we will celebrate the conclusion of this year's Stewardship season during worship. Rev. Katie Barrett Todd, Executive Director of UKirk Greensboro and friend of this Fellowship Family, will provide her perspective on how we, as a family, will look ahead in this next chapter of our church's story. All are invited at 9:30, whether in-person or online, to worship with us. All are also encouraged to bring your 2022 Stewardship pledge cards with you as well, if you haven't already done so.
-
Immediately after worship and our Fellowship time on Sunday will be a special opportunity during Education Hour. Gray Delafield, child of this Fellowship Family and son of proud Fred and Marilyn, will share his story and faith journey with all who gather to listen. I encourage you to stay and hear from him.
-
Later in the afternoon, at 3 pm, our own Jeannine Bailer will be in the sanctuary to direct her Unity Bell Choir for a Community Concert entitled "Folk Songs and Spirituals", followed by an opportunity to socialize.
-
At the same time, members of the Mission Committee will be delivering the baskets that were packed on Saturday. If you're able to deliver a meal, please contact Judy Meyler.

As we draw our Stewardship season to a close, we turn our attention to Giving Tuesday. Started in 2012, Giving Tuesday is in response to Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday's focus on consumerism. Giving Tuesday, instead, focuses on Radical Generosity and support of nonprofit organizations.
Fellowship Presbyterian Church will be participating in Giving Tuesday this year. Any monies raised on Giving Tuesday will go toward the efforts being made by the Session to start 2022 on a new foot, including plans for a new website, nametags, and other exciting plans for the Fellowship family that center around the new mission statement and vision statement. Like I said: exciting things are happening in the life of our church!
As always, I hope to see you Sunday, whether in-person or virtually - noting that you can now join us virtually via YouTube as well!
Blessings,
Pastor Kathryn

p.s. The church's Facebook page will continue to focus its attention on Stewardship. "Faith-Filled Friday" is one of those many posts that do that - thanks, Carol, for your responses to those questions. If you would like to participate in answering the same questions for a future post, I encourage you to do so and email your responses to me.

Wondering what to do with all of those grocery shopping bags? The Missions committee will be collecting “gently used” plastic grocery bags for Backpack Beginnings. Please bring any you don’t use to church with you, leaving them on the Missions table in the Dogwood Lobby closest to the double doors leading towards the classrooms.
