Puppy Love

A dog is often said to be a man's best friend and that same logic holds true as people age and can no longer take care of their pets in their home. We were thrilled to invite some adorable four-legged friends for a visit to the FV Campus in June. Residents and staff couldn't get enough puppy snuggles.

Mission Message

Summer is a beautiful time for us to appreciate creation. The birds, the green grass, the rabbits, the water in the lake all call to us.

Flag Day Celebration at The Gardens

The Gardens held a Flag Day celebration that included a sing-a-long with patriotic songs by Barb Cook and Lisa Duernberger. It was followed by a flag raising ceremony by the local VFW 659 and Taps being played to close out the event. A beautiful day to honor the American Flag.

3,000th FV on the Go Ride

Felician Village on the Go, which is a transportation program, has been in operation since November 2021. We are very excited to share that we have given our 3000th ride to one of our Felician Village at Home Members, Karin! These rides are made possible by our wonderful and dedicated volunteers that spend countless hours each month providing rides to our Felician Village at Home Members and Residents.

Rides are provided to the hair salon, church, rides to and from the airport, library, Dr.’s appointments, social gatherings, you name it. We are available for rides seven days a week, even weekends or holidays. Over the last two plus years the number of rides we provide each month continues to grow, meeting the needs of our passengers so they can continue to live independently.

Please reach out to Lauren, Membership Supervisor at 920-684-7171 ext. 425 for information on how you can become a member and utilize our Felician Village on the Go program.

Service Excellence

Congratulations to the May Service Excellence Award Winner, Paula Wagner, Transportation Coordinator.

Her nominations: "I am so very impressed with Paula because of her patience with elderly people and their different disabilities. She is also very respectful of them. I would trust her with anything. I never appreciated this until I rode with her as she picked people up."

"Paula exudes compassion and sees every person and having value and she wants the best for them. Paula gives my father-in-law rides for ice cream or to sit by the lake - this allows him to keep living well."

Felician Village at Home Members were invited to a game of Family Feud which included a strawberry shortcake dessert, strawberries are in season so had to take advantage! The winning team walked away with some prizes and bragging rights until we meet again in July for our next game which will be Trivia.

CNA Graduates

We are excited to announce that we have graduated five CNAs from our recent on-site course. This is our second successful CNA course this year and we plan to offer the course again later this year.

Felician Village covers all fees associated with the 75 hour course. Students are also paid for the class time.

Upon completion of the course, students must be interested in a full or part time shift at Felician Village.

Bike Rides

Bike riding is a favorite pastime for many residents. Being able to offer them the opportunity to continue to enjoy a past hobby brings so much joy to our residents and to the bike pilots as well!

Mid-June brought warm weather for Court residents to take a ride on the trishaw bikes with volunteer pilots, Mark & Suellen!

Hope House provides shelter for families, couples, and single women who are without housing. One of the needs is for a cleaning supply kit for those who are moving out into their own place. It gives them a fresh start. If you would like to donate items please bring items to the collection space outside the Blessed Angela Chapel. Any contribution is so very welcome! Residents will help prepare the items for delivery to Hope House.

Donor Appreciation

The annual Donor Development Appreciation event was held on June 20, 2024. Nearly 100 donor guests shared camaraderie, memories, and great food prepared by Felician Village’s culinary team. “The event honors supporters of Felician Village including board members, community volunteers, employees and residents, and friends to Felician Village,” said Luke Schubert, President and CEO.
