Enrich Your Community

With a calendar full of vision screening events, volunteers are needed now more than ever to continue the mission of providing sight to those in need. The current and most pressing need is for volunteers to help run the screening stations at these events. Spend the day with trained volunteers and learn how to help screen people of all ages that are in need of better sight. It is such a rewarding experience to know you could help correct the vision of a small child, a mother, or a senior citizen who has lost what they once had.

Become A Part Of Your District's Vision Screening Team

50 volunteers are needed at each event to help make them a success. Some provide testing and eyeglasses, and others help with patient flow and assist others at the workstations. Don't worry if you feel you need more knowledge to work a station. There are experienced Friends in Sight volunteers that can teach you at the event! Once you see the joy your time can bring to those in need, it's hoped you will become a regular at other events in your area.

Feel the Impact of Your Time:

Many patients at our Tustin event expressed a heartfelt "Thank You” to the Lions. Several said, "God bless you all for this eye check-up that we could not afford." This event was a complete success for people in need!

Thanks to all of those who helped fund the first of two vans! You put us closer to our goal of replacing both transport vehicles by June 2023. Tell others in your community about our mission and the need. With the help of neighbors and local businesses, we can reach the much needed goal of replacing both of our vans!
