A weekly e-newsletter from JFS of Middlesex County
JFS is a non-profit social services agency serving all members of the community from all backgrounds. Your generous support enables us to provide crucial programs for those in need.
JFS Feeds Seniors in Need
During the Passover holiday, JFS' Kosher Meals on Wheels (KMOW) and our volunteers delivered 624 frozen meals program-wide! And now we are preparing 4 types of shelf stable meals for the next two holidays: Memorial Day and Shavuot.

When it comes to feeding our local seniors, we rely on the support of our community - donations of non-perishable food items and frozen meals supplement our nutritional programs. Special thanks go out to Hackensack Meridian Hospital for their recent donation of frozen meals that we delivered to our Holocaust Survivors and seniors.

Your monetary and food donations help us meet the health and wellness needs of our clients, ensuring families have enough to eat all month long. Please donate online to support our nutrition programs or email us at media@jfsmiddlesex.org to arrange a food drive or donation to help those in need. Thank you!
Helping Immigrants Become U.S. Citizens
Becoming a naturalized citizen is a slow and steady process that goes beyond simply submitting an application for naturalization, waiting for an interview date, and taking the Oath of Allegiance. Individuals with a legal permanent residence must meet certain strict requirements and present specific documents showing their personal history. Often, immigrants are scammed out of money and time, unknowingly engaging unlicensed agencies that promise to fulfill their dream of becoming a citizen.

With accredited immigration services, JFS provides clients with a thorough overview of the application process, supportive legal assistance, and citizenship preparation classes led by knowledgeable, helpful instructors. Making sure our applications are completed correctly in a timely manner reassures our clients during this stressful process and helps them focus on preparing for their interviews. This month, we are excited to see a few of our clients become proud, happy U.S. citizens.

To sponsor a new citizen, please donate online or to become a volunteer tutor for applicants preparing for the naturalization exam, email media@jfsmiddlesex.org. Thank you!
