Thank you to Calgary Police Service Hate Crimes Coordinator, Sr. Constable Matt Messenger and Hate Crime Outreach Coordinator, Kelly Mergen for spending an evening educating our community about what hate crimes are and how to report them. This informative presentation provided a better understanding about classifications of hate incidents and crimes, as well as what we can do to effectively report them. Please remember: 'if you see something, say something' and report it via email or call the non-emergency number at 403-266-1234. You can now also report antisemitic incidents and other hate crimes through the Calgary Jewish Federation online portalIn the case of emergencies and dangerous situations, always call 911.

In conjunction with Violins of Hope, please join us for a special screening of Orchestra of Exiles on Wednesday, May 29 at the Patricia A. This suspenseful film chronicles how one man helped save Europe's premier Jewish musicians from obliteration by the Nazis during World War II. In three years, Bronislaw Huberman transformed from a world-renowned violinist to a humanitarian racing against time. Register for free.

Save the date for the Calgary Jewish Federation AGM and Community Shem Tov Awards on Thursday, June 20 starting at 7:00pm at the Paperny Family JCC.
