A big Birthday Dreams thank you to:
Birthday Dreams was the beneficiary of so much joy this giving season. We received car loads of donations along with people and groups who generously donated their time to bring extra birthday joy. We are thankful and excited to celebrate a record number of birthdays in 2020. Thank you to all who support us and make so many birthday dreams possible.
Highlighting a few of our December donations:
- Greg Dobbs and the Edward Jones team, who collected toys for Birthday Dreams and food donations for the Auburn Food Bank during their December 17 holiday event.
- The W Group for naming Birthday Dreams the beneficiary of their December 8 toy drive.
- Ridwell for collecting new toy donations from its customers throughout the month of December in support of Birthday Dreams.
- Kendra Scott and team. The Saturday, December 21 Kendra Scott 'Shop for a Cause' event will yielded a $621 donation to Birthday Dreams.
This is why we do it:
Your support brings joy, hope and dignity to homeless children in our community. Below are excerpts from parents who benefited from recent Birthday Dreams parties:
"My daughters and I want to thank you so much for saving their birthdays. We are a transitioning family and we were homeless for two long years... My daughters are old enough to understand that we might not be able to do anything for their birthdays. When they found out they were actually going to get cake and presents they were so joyful and grateful." The full letter is posted to the Birthday Dreams Facebook page.
"My children and I needed to be in Vision House after I left an abusive marriage. I was left with no job, no income and no credit. Both of my sons were blessed to have Birthday Dreams parties... As a mother it truly helps me to feel I can still provide a special event like this, that otherwise wouldn't be financially possible. I feel grateful."
