PARTNER SPOTLIGHT: FIELD 
For the past seven years, Self-Help Enterprises has partnered with The Farmworker Institute of Education  and Leadership Development (FIELD) to strengthen communities through education. 

FIELD offers English as a Second Language classes as well as the FIELD Charter School, which has been giving individuals over 18 the opportunity to earn their high school diploma.

 

FIELD offers these programs to community residents and individuals who reside at Self-Help Enterprises' Villa Hermosa rental home community in Wasco and the Solinas Village rental home community in McFarland. Students attend morning and evening sessions, which are held at the community rooms of the two rental home community locations.

Through the partnership, students earn a high school diploma and learn skills that will give them the confidence to realize their dreams.

SHE LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE
Self-Help Enterprises has launched an improved website  with a new look and new multimedia integration. The website aims to be easier to navigate and has a number of new features that better showcases our programs and services.

The new features include:   
  • User-friendly navigation bar to quickly find the information you seek
  • Dedicated blog providing the latest program information and     success stories
  • News & Multimedia section where you can view videos, photo galleries, newsletters and press articles
  • Answers to frequently asked questions for all our programs
  • Fillable interest form to obtain more information about our housing and community development programs
The website also has a layout that is displayed optimally across a variety of devices like mobile phones and tablets. We hope you enjoy our new website!
HOMES FOR SALE
Self-Help Enterprises has implemented an acquisition/rehabilitation program to improve communities by purchasing new homes and existing homes in need of repairs. The acquired homes are repaired and brought up to code by professionals contracted through Self-Help Enterprises.

These homes are then sold at an affordable price to qualified low-income families and to the general public. Secondary financing may be available depending on the community in which the homes are located.
