Check out this list of great ways to get involved and share your time with the community:
  • Conservation Talks Lecture Series - Volunteers needed to help setup and breakdown every Sunday at 1:00 PM from February 11th through April 22nd
  • Merchandise and Design - We need a volunteer to help us reach out to designers for new merchandise purchases and keep track of inventory
  • Dune Grass Planting
    • We need a volunteer to help unload the truck the at IBSP on 3/9
    • We need volunteer team leads to help coordinate the day of the event

General Membership Meeting

March 3rd

IBSP Interpretive Center

Join your friends for our general membership meeting. Take a few hours to learn about all of the great things happening in the park this season and how you can get involved. We will enjoy great lunch and even better camaraderie. 

And help us celebrate the 2017 volunteer of the year! 
Please bring a dessert or appetizer to share.




Spring Beach Grass Planting
 
Saturday March 10th
9:30 AM
Swimming Area 1

It's that time of year again - join us for our annual spring planting! 
Volunteer a few hours to help plant beach grass in Island Beach State Park.
Planting beachgrass helps to build the dunes which in turn, creates habitat, increases coastal resiliency to storms, and is a wonderful community building event. 

Please plan to arrive Swimming Area 1 at 9:30am for registration. After registration, you will be assigned to a specific part of the park. You will most likely need to drive to your assigned location. Please bring a pole or shovel for planting.




Conservation Talks: Winter Lecture Series

Join us on Sundays, in February - April, as we bring leading conservationists into the park to tell us about their projects. Coffee and refreshments will be provided.  Each talk is followed by a guided walk.
