The Joint Commission Renews
East End Hospice Deemed Status Certification
"East End Hospice underwent a rigorous, unscheduled on-site survey," said Mary Crosby, President & CEO of East End Hospice. "Compliance with hospice standards and quality of care were evaluated during the four day visit. Accreditation by The Joint Commission serves as a stamp of approval and confirmation that EEH is adhering to recognized standards of safety and quality care."
"When individuals choose hospice, they want to be sure the organization can offer safe, quality care," continued Crosby. "Deemed Status indicates that we not only meet but exceed expectations in the care we provide."
"As a health care accreditor, The Joint Commission works with health care organizations across settings to help improve patient safety and quality of care through our expert resources and tools, innovative solutions, and rigorous standards," says Deborah Ryan, MS, RN, interim executive vice president, Accreditation and Certification Operations, The Joint Commission. "We commend East End Hospice for its commitment to advance safety and quality for all patients."
