Issue 33 | February 2022
Along about seven miles of Route 7, we're adding a third lane and shared-use paths in each direction, building a pedestrian underpass to access Colvin Run Mill Park, replacing and raising the bridge over Difficult Run, and making many intersection, bicycle and pedestrian improvements. Learn more.

Rebar cages in the drilled shafts will support the Difficult Run bridge.
Looking Ahead
The new Lewinsville Road intersection, which will include a displaced left-turn from eastbound Route 7 to Lewinsville Road, is scheduled to open to traffic later in 2022. The initial configuration of the intersection will be a temporary condition, with the permanent condition to be implemented in Fall 2022. The new configuration has been designed to maximize throughput at this busy intersection, and we'll provide detailed navigation information in the upcoming weeks.
