The first Germantown library broke ground in 1962 with the help of benefactor Emma Duerrwaechter! It is now the volunteer fire department office in Fireman's Park!

Join us this year on a journey through the history of the Germantown Community Library!

In the 70's, the Friends of the Germantown Library was formed, Geneva McClellan (the first librarian in Germantown) retired, and Michael Gelhausen took up the director position.
Stay tuned next month for more history of the library!
