Town Awarded Highest Bond Rating

The Town of Mount Pleasant has maintained its Aaa Bond Rating, the highest possible rating, by Moody's Investors Service and Standard & Poor's.

Moody's Aaa rating reflects the Town's strong reserves and liquidity, supported by prudent fiscal management and formal policies. The Town has maintained the highest bond rating since 2014 by sustaining a conservative budget and strong financial practices and management.

After a decade of Aaa bond ratings, the town has seen significant savings in interest costs while our strong regional economy is growing faster than the national average.

Stormwater Management Tips

Auto Care = Environment Care

Did you know leaked automotive fluids wash directly off paved surfaces and into our waterways? Making sure your car is in good condition can ensure these chemicals stay in your vehicle where they belong. Also, if you wash your car at home try washing on the grass as opposed to the driveway. This allows the runoff that contains soap and dirt to infiltrate. This stops it from going directly into our storm drains and then our creeks.
