Re-Registration for 2020-2021 School Year
Re-registration for the 2020-2021 school year begins this Friday, February 28. Students will attend a re-registration assembly on Friday, Feb. 28, and all students entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade will receive information to be signed by a parent/guardian and returned to the office - so look for this from your student!
Guidance Corner
On Saturday, March 7th , VLHS will be hosting a ZAPS test-prep seminar for juniors preparing to take the SAT on April 14th. All juniors should have received a postcard in the mail with details. The seminar will focus on test strategies and tips for approaching any subject area of the exam, as well as short practice tests to put those strategies to use immediately. Sophomores are also welcome to attend if they want a jump-start on their test-taking preparations. To register for the seminar, go to or call 877-927-8378.

Just as a reminder, all freshmen and sophomores will take the PSAT as part of the State of Michigan testing on April 14th. All juniors will take the SAT with Essay on April 14th as well as part of the official Michigan Merit Exam. This is an official score that can be used for college admissions. The State of Michigan covers the cost of this day of exams and the school takes care of registering all students for the exam on April 14th.

Seniors, don't forget about the list of scholarship resources at . Scholarships are coming in frequently and the list is updated weekly. Do not be shy on your applications - every little activity counts. If you need help or have questions, see Mrs. Mueller.

Community Information
CHS Prayer Campaign
Concordia High School in Austin, Texas has requested us to join a "Will You Pray?" initiative these 40 days of Lent. Concordia High School (CHS) is facing exciting, yet challenging times as they take critical steps toward occupying their first permanent home campus. CHS, located in Pflugerville, is the only Lutheran High School serving the greater Austin area.
We have several close connections to Concordia. A leader in the prayer effort is Karen Hinz Murdy (VL Class of 1981), Nathaniel Mueller, who moved to Austin last summer, is a senior at Concordia, and our music teacher Becca Sugden is a Concordia alum!
If you are able to help CHS, text PRAYCHS (all capital letters, no spaces) to 844-901-1659. Your number will only be used for this prayer effort.
CHS has provided a short video as they ask for prayers, as well. You can view it here
