Planned Power Outage at Hope Central Campus

As construction begins on Morse Blvd, Hope has been notified of a planned power outage on Friday, March 1 at 11:30am. Because of this, our church office will be without power and will have minimal staff after 11:30am on March 1.

Fortunately, this outage is not expected to last longer than 2 hours. If you need to contact a staff member or visit the office on Friday, please call or visit prior to 11:30am. If you need to contact us after 11:30am on March 1, we suggest communicating by email. Thank you!

Vacation Bible School Returns in 2024

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is back for another summer at Hope Lake Weir Campus!

This year, students in grades 1-5 will dive into Scuba, an underwater themed experience focused on developing a strong relationship with God.

VBS will be held from July 15 to July 19 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at Hope Lake Weir Campus.

We need volunteers to help make VBS 2024 a success. To volunteer, you must have a history with Hope Lutheran Church for at least 6 months, complete a volunteer application, and have a background check through Hope. More training may be required.

Women of Hope Retreat at Luther Springs

April 2-4, 2024

The Women of Hope invite all women to join their next retreat on April 2, 3, and 4 at Luther Springs in Hawthorne, Florida.

The theme for this year's retreat is "It's All Under Control." It will be a time to relax with friends, share laughter, stories and, of course, grow in our faith journey. We will enjoy time with each other as we delight in God's grace.

This year, the Women of Hope are pleased to welcome back our speaker for the retreat – Kathy Uffelman, Minister of Faith Formation, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Vienna, Virginia. Kathy Uffelman has been a Minister of Faith Formation for 16 years at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Vienna, Virginia. She enjoys cooking, reading, and going to the theater. She volunteers at a homeless shelter in Fairfax, Virginia. Kathy leads retreats for people of all ages - adults and children - and she is a Stephen Minister Leader, facilities caring ministry, and is passionate about her faith.

Registration forms are available at the Hope Central Campus office. You could also print out a registration form by clicking the link below. Please do not detach the bottom half of the registration, keep it whole when registering. Details regarding the retreat, such as time, cost, location, and how to remit can be found on this form. If you have questions, please contact June Cook at (352) 430-5025.

Looking for a Special Guest Speaker for Your Group?

A Message from Fred O'Brien:

Attention Team Leaders and Members,

At our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, many Hope members were surprised to see all the families with children. They are the people that attend the Tuesday night Journey INC program (Journey In the Name of Christ) at Hope.

If you are looking for a speaker for your group or mission team, Dana Parker or Julia Coppock at Love INC (352-245-8774) would be happy to come and talk about this amazing outreach ministry that meets at Hope every Tuesday evening.

You may also contact Love INC to sign up for a Gap Ministry Tour to find out how we coordinate with other local churches to reach out to people with needs in our community.

This class meets Thursdays from April 4 to May 2 from 11:00am to 12:30pm at Hope Central Campus Room 203. Bring Bible. Zoom available.

Bible Study at Hope Lake Weir Campus with Pastor John LeCain.
