Mind Mapping at MFA

I'm excited about the upcoming

Maryland Federation of Art (MFA) exhibition entitled Mind Mapping. The artist's call featured my Marking & Mapping® artwork (left) from the Spring 2023 MFA Members Show. Exhibition Manager Amani Freeman presented an informative Mind Mapping workshop/demo that can be accessed as a YouTube recording. In this inspirational video, I was honored that he included my "Healing Emotions, 2001," created in response to September 11th.

ARTOMATIC celebrates 25 years

I'm getting ready to participate in Artomatic 25 --a Washington,DC six-week art fair/happening with over 1000 area artists installing artwork in an empty office building 2100 M Street. This unique event takes place from March 8 to April 28. I will be exhibiting my artwork in space #4050 with Marcie Wolf-Hubbard and David Hubbard. Please plan to visit Artomatic multiple times there's so much to see! More information to come ...

As show above, we start by warming up with marks, words, patterns, etc. on black Fabriano paper with white tools such as POSCA Brush Marker and Uniball Gel Impact Pen.

Offered by Smithsonian Associates Studio Arts, this new mini Visual Fitness course is designed to bring light into our lives as we create meaningful artworks from a wide source of impactful written inspirations such as the quote below by L.R. Knost.
