All skill levels are encouraged to stop by every Tuesday morning at 11:00 AM for knitting, crochet, and conversation.


Basic supplies and instructions can be provided by our regular group members to any beginners. Join us upstairs in the Women’s League Conference Room.

Imagination, creativity, and critical thinking for elementary age kids. Each week, we will be scientists, engineers, artists, historians, and mathematicians so come learn and create with us! 


February 1st we explore Greece and February 8th we explore Italy! No registration required. Meet in the Storytime room. Strictly ages 7 & up. Parents and Caregivers welcome!

Come meet with the Rockwall County Genealogical Society on February 1st, 6-8 PM to learn how to start your own genealogy research. General meetings held the first Thursday of every month or reach out to Denise Slosar at 214-799-6017 to schedule a meeting.

Rockwall-Heath High School NHS students join us for FREE tutoring, homework help, or a reading buddy on Tuesdays, February 6th and February 20th.

Love is in the air and it's the perfect time to make a Valentine's Day-themed craft! Join us in the Women's League Conference Room from 6-7:30 PM on Tuesday, February 6th OR from 11:15-12:15 PM on Saturday, February 10th to make Embroidery Hoop Art.


The Tuesday night session of our Valentine's Day craft is intended for ages 18+. The Saturday session is open to all ages, with alternative crafts being provided for attendees under the age of 18. The embroidery hoop craft at our Saturday session will be reserved for adult attendees only.


While supplies last, no registration required.

Whether you want to develop basic computer skills or improve your knowledge of Microsoft productivity software, Rockwall County Library has classes available to assist you. Each Thursday evening in February from 6-7:30 PM, we'll meet in the Technology Lab to hone our skills.

Hola! Bring the whole family for stories, songs, and laughter—for an immersive Spanish Storytime experience—on Tuesday, February 6th.


Wear your comfy jammies and join us from 6:30-7 PM. Juice and cookies will be provided after the stories for a great ending to the day.

We are so pleased to welcome the Rockwall County Master Gardeners for our new program, Ask a Master Gardener!


On Wednesday, February 7th and Wednesday February 21st, a Master Gardener will be available from 10-12 PM at the Rockwall County Master Gardener table on the first floor next to the stairs to answer all things gardening! No registration required.

We invite you to join us in the Storytime Room on Wednesday, February 7th at either 2:30 or 4:30 PM for our Freshwater Microorganisms Program! Learn about freshwater microorganisms as well as garden millipedes, earthworms, and rough earth snakes! There will be three types of microscopes, a rough earth snake, worms, and millipedes, as well as various jars from area creeks and ponds!


No registration required. Recommended for ages 4+.

Please join us Thursday, February 8th in the Storytime Room from 6:30-7:30 PM for our S.T.A.R. event. This program is for special needs individuals age 18+ and their caregivers to enjoy socialization, acquire life skill guidance, and engage in a fun activity. Register at the Youth Desk.

Rockwall County Library and Love on a Leash Pet Therapy invite you to read with the dogs. Doggy reading companions will be at the library on Saturday, February 10th from 10:30-11:30 AM and Monday, February 12th from 4:30-5:30 PM to listen to a story read by an independent reader.


As an independent reading activity, participants will have their reading session in the Storytime room without their parent/caregiver and younger siblings. Sign up at the Youth Services Desk for a 15-minute time slot to participate.

Don’t miss our Pajama Storytime on Tuesday, February 13th from 6:30-7 PM. Let us be in charge of your bedtime story and snack for the evening!

Rockwall County Library will be closed Saturday, February 17th and Monday, February 19th in observance of Presidents' Day. We will re-open at 10 AM on Tuesday, February 20th.

Join us for a fun and educational Valentine's Day-themed craft where we will make Cupid's bow and arrows! The program will have two sessions and take place on Tuesday, February 20th at 2 PM and 4:30 PM. This program will be held in the Storytime Room.

RHS students join us Wednesday, February 21st from 4:30-5:30 PM in leading a STEM activity for all children. Register in person or by calling 972-204-7740.


This program will be led by the Rockwall HS WiSTEM team, a group empowering and encouraging high school girls to be part of the movement to increase female representation in STEM.

Don’t you just love hearing about what others are reading? Us too! Come join us for our brand-new evening book club called "What Are You Reading Now?" We’ll meet once a month starting on Thursday, February 22nd from 6-7 PM.


Whether its literary fiction, fantasy, crime fiction, history, chick lit, a current bestseller or whatever, please dish about what you're reading right now and tell us how you like it. We’ll meet in the Women’s League Conference Room upstairs. Ages 18+.

Why stop at Saturday morning cartoons? Start your weekend off right with our once-a-month Saturday morning Storytime at the library!


February's Family Storytime will take place on Saturday, February 24th at 11:15 AM. Bring the whole family for songs, stories, and fun.

Join us on Monday, February 26th from 4:30-5:30 PM for our next LEGO Challenge! For February we challenge our attendees to build a marble maze...and see how far your marble goes! Build your own or join with others at your table and build a maze together. All supplies provided,

program is best suited for ages 6+.


 *Legos and marbles are choking hazards for small children.

Come and enjoy the wonderful story of Willy Wonka and his misadventures on the path to creating his chocolate factory on Tuesday, February 27th at 4:30 PM. Snacks included! Bring your own pillow and blankets. The film will be shown in the Storytime Room, all ages welcome. Wonka is rated PG.

We all need to warm up with toasty beverages in this chilly weather, so join us for our No-Sew Felt Coffee Cup Sleeve Craft program! We will meet in the Women's League Conference Room on Tuesday, February 27th from 6-7:30 PM.


Ages 18+, while supplies last. No registration required.


***The "Family Edition" of our No-Sew Coffee Cup Sleeve Craft program is open to all ages and will be on Saturday, March 9th from 11:15-12:15 PM.

Winter Storytimes will end Friday, March 1st. Spring Storytimes will begin on Monday, March 18th.
