Have any of you watched the movie Groundhog Day? We feel a little bit like that at Silver Threads & Golden Needles. We were all ready for a jammed packed January, full of classes and new groups; however, our computer had other ideas.

Hopefully, you read the email that went out yesterday and read that we are building a new software system. We will be closed until February 2nd, with the exception of a few classes that are still going to meet. We have contacted those of you that have signed up for a class.

So, we are going to pretend that the last few weeks of January are going to repeat themselves and we are calling it February. Watch the movie. You'll understand.

A New Shawl

The Kasa Shawl is Charles Gandy's newest design. Isn't it stunning? Charles used Mirasol Sulka Legato which you can find at our online shop link below.

A New Hat!

Grand Teton is the hat from the Knitting the National Parks we are featuring for February.
A New Name!

We are renaming our Knitter's Roundtable group. It will now be called Pick-A-Project Group. Bring any knitted project you are working on, or want to start and get expert help from Carol Martin.

Attention Rigid Heddle Weavers! Virginia is starting a weaving group that will meet EVERY other Thursday.

February 3, 10, 24 - 2:00-4:00pm - "Rear View Window"/Any Casapinka Project

February 4th - 2:00-4:00 - repeat of "Embroidery on Knitting"

***Both classes are full but we are creating a waiting list for a future class. Let us know if you want us to add you to it.
***We will still have this scheduled class on January 28th. Just give us a knock on the door and let us know when you get to the shop.

February 11th - 3:00-5:00 "Second Saturday with Virginia"

February 18/Saturday - 2:00-4:00 - "National Parks Hat Class"

Cost: no cost for the class, but you must purchase the yarn from us.

WE LOVE SNOW, BUT....

We do not love driving on icy roads! We will post any shop closing on Facebook and Instagram. If you are not on these sites, please call
828-349-0515 before heading to the shop to see if we are open. Several of our staff live at higher altitudes and may have trouble getting in. We do not follow the local county and school closings, so it is very important to check with us on those snowy or icy days.
