February has been a month of giving back to the community. Whether serving our clients or helping those in need, we work towards making a difference each day. Here's the month in review.
Hoover Krepelka, LLP is partnering with Dress for Success San Jose to help empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and development tools to help women thrive
in work and life.

Please consider donating your professional attire at Hoover Krepelka, LLP, as we hold a clothing drive to support Dress for Success San Jose.
We will accept donations of interview-appropriate suits, blouses, slacks, skirts, dresses, blazers, jackets, work-appropriate shoes, jewelry, and scarves. (Please ensure that all donated items are laundered/clean, under five years old, and suitable for wearing to job interviews and work). Constance's Welcome Celebration
Thank you to the many friends and esteemed colleagues of Constance Carpenter who came out to celebrate Constance's extraordinary career and her new endeavor at Hoover Krepelka, LLP! We are immensely honored and delighted that Constance chose to work with HK.
Constance routinely serves as Minor's Counsel for children involved with contentious custody disputes and domestic violence matters. Her advocacy is exemplary, and her family law career spans over forty years and counting. During that time, Ms. Carpenter has litigated and settled nearly 1700 marital dissolution, probate guardianship, and adoption cases
in Santa Clara County.

Constance's welcome called for a black-tie celebration held on Wednesday, February 22nd, at Silicon Valley Capital Club. People came from all over California to commemorate Constance's accomplishments and to wish her well on her new endeavor at HK.
Thank you to Gabby Benitez and Jerline Justo for organizing a fabulous soiree. We appreciate those in attendance and thank you again for supporting Constance Carpenter.

Avvo Clients' Choice Award 2023
Congratulations to James J. Hoover, Partner and CFLS, on receiving the 2023 Avvo Clients' Choice Award,
Divorce Attorney.

This award is determined based on the sustained feedback from his clients who have faced contentious divorces, complex property division, child custody disputes and domestic violence issues.

The Avvo Clients' Choice award is especially meaningful to our team because it represents our clients' voices. We are incredibly grateful to our clients who have expressed their experiences working with our firm.

This is Mr. Hoover's tenth year receiving this distinction.

Congratulations, Jim!
This month, we spotlight the Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley (BGCSV). BGCSV is a non-profit organization that focuses on helping youth ages 6-18 from low-income families to develop and grow in education. They have assisted approximately 3,000 members at 16 different Clubhouse locations in San Jose, Morgan Hill, and Gilroy.
On January 27, Monica R. Nemec, Senior Associate, attended the annual Boys and Girls' Youth of the Year Gala, celebrating the community's youth of today. Youth of the Year is a four-month-long leadership development program that celebrates the remarkable lives of Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley members who have distinguished themselves by rising above challenging circumstances. During the gala, the inspiring finalists' shared their stories of how they handled and overcame their struggles. This gala was spectacularly successful, as they raised over $440,000 to make more great futures possible.
