Join Us For an Evening of Mariachi at Auraria Campus

In Spring, part-one of Viva Southwest provides Mariachi Workshops for students of all ages; including those in elementary, middle, and high school, as well as university and community participants from Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Texas, and Wyoming. 



Mark your calendars because the 2-day workshop series will culminate with a spectacular Mariachi Community Showcase on April 15th, 2023 at The King Center on the Auraria Campus, from 7-9pm. The lineup includes Regional Mariachi Master Maestros and student groups.

LCAC Mambo Orchestra Partner, Mi Vida Strings, Partners with Kolstein New York

This past fall, our partner and friend Eric Trujillo, owner of Mi Vida Strings and Master Luthier, combined forces with Kolstein’s New York. Founded by a Jewish immigrant family over 70 years ago, Kolstein is internationally recognized and respected as a fine string instrument company.

MCA Denver Accepting Applications for a $20,000 Scholarship for Graduating High School Students

The Museum of Contemporary Art Denver is awarding one $20,000 college scholarship to a graduating high school senior who demonstrates innovation, creativity, fearlessness, and a willingness to risk failure in the pursuit of something new. Open to students in any area of study, are a resident of and attend high school in Colorado, and will graduate from high school in the spring of 2023. Please share widely within your networks!
