Sweet Home Street Flag Program
For many years, the Sweet Home Veterans of Foreign Wars has provided street flags along Main and Long Streets on military and patriotic holidays. These flags are posted on designated days throughout the year to show our community's resolve to remember those who have served and sacrificed in our nation's military. The Sweet Home VFW is in need of donations to purchase and maintain the flags and the flag pole holes.

Attention all US Military Veterans, or their surviving spouse, that served anytime between November 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975.
In 2012, the Congress, DOD, and the President signed off on the United States of America Commemoration: The Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin, which was minted to honor all that served our country, during this time period, at any posting, and recently a new pin was stamped to present to the surviving spouse of those veterans.
You, and the Community are invited to a presentation of these pins by the Sweet Home VFW POST 3437 and members of the Northwest Scots Guard, Who will be presenting these pins at the VFW post on February 18, 2023 at 1pm., to show our appreciation for your duty and sacrifice.
