Hope's Annual Tenebrae Service
This March, we will once again convene the Combined Choirs of Hope for a special Tenebrae service, “In Calvary’s Shadow.”
This year, the musicians will be joined by painter, Paul Oman, who will enhance the sensory environment and overall worship experience by creating an original work on a giant canvas simultaneously during the presentation. Due to this uniquely special experience at Hope, we will be presenting two services for the first time. This solemn service will take place on:
Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 7:30pm
Friday, March 29, 2024, at 7:30pm
All interested singers, both Hope members and friends alike, are invited to join the Combined Choirs of Hope for this memorable service. If interested, email musicupdate@hope4all.church.

Beware of Scams Impacting Our Community
We have seen an unfortunate uptick in scam attempts in our community recently, and national data tells us that we are not alone. This week, some of Hope's leadership received scam emails that were frighteningly convincing. Thankfully, Hope's staff has been trained on scam awareness.
Current nationwide scams include:
- Receiving a phone call from a fake "law enforcement officer" who claims you have missed Jury Duty and are now being fined.
- Receiving a phone call from Microsoft/Apple Computers requesting you update your billing information over the phone.
- Emails requesting changes to your bank account, direct deposit, or credit card on file.
- Receiving an email from your pastor, doctor, teacher, employer, etc. requesting gift cards for a "special project."
Additionally, we have seen scammers targeting folks on social media, particularly Facebook. These scammers often write a long paragraph stating something like, "I love your photos, you are very attractive, please send me a friend request." Please do not accept Facebook friend requests from people you do not know, and never send a Facebook friend request to a stranger.
We ask you to remain diligent and always delete suspicious emails. If you have a question about an email or message you receive, please contact the church office.

H.O.P.E. University Classes Resuming
A message from Pastor John LeCain:
Now that Ash Wednesday is here, the Super Bowl is over, and I have returned home following my stint in rehab following my complete right knee replacement, let's get back to doing what we all love: knowing Christ, and making Christ known to the world.
I am excited to announce upcoming classes for H.O.P.E. U, the educational arm of our church that continues to honor our priority to education. Registration is suggested. To register, email pastorjohn@hope4all.church.
The following is a list and partial summary of upcoming courses:
Lutheran Worship series: "Liturgy for Sunday: Reflections in Detail" with Pastor Bruce Dillman. This five week class will spend a week on the four major sections of our Sunday worship (Gathering, Word, Meal, Sending) and a final week on an alternate Sunday offering, a Service of the Word. The class will meet on Wednesday mornings from 10:00am - 11:30am in Room 203 at Hope Central Campus starting February 21. Pastor Bruce is the instructor. In person and Livestream only. Bible needed.
The Book of Psalms with Pastor John LeCain. We all want to be known and to be loved because of and in spite of who we are. A study of the Psalms will transfigure you as the words of the Psalms become your words! This class meets Wednesdays from April 3 to May 1 at 10:00am to 11:30am at Hope Central Campus Room 203. In person, Livestream, and Zoom available. Bible needed.
Prayer Walking; Praying in Nature with Pastor John LeCain. Every mighty movement of God started with a call for His people to pray. “When ordinary believers step into the streets to pray effectively for their neighbors, with eyes wide open to real needs and with ears open to the prompting of God’s Spirit, intercession becomes an adventure!” (Graham Kendrick, Prayer-Walking). This class meets Thursdays from April 4 to May 2 from 11:00am to 12:30pm at Hope Central Campus Room 203. Bring Bible. Zoom available.
Bible Study at Hope Lake Weir Campus with Pastor John LeCain. Following our study of the books of Exodus and Leviticus, we began a study of Numbers on February 13, 2024 as we progress through our continuing study of the Bible. This class meets Tuesdays from 3:00pm to 4:30pm at Hope Lake Weir Campus. Bible needed. Participant Handbook provided. In person only.
Chair Yoga with Maressa Smith. Join in for one hour of gentle, supported chair yoga. Come and join in as we stretch and breathe our way into a deeper connection with God. Class size 12 per session. This class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:00am in Hope Central Campus Room 204.

|
