Hi again........sorry to be back so soon, but I needed to share with you the wonderful work that took place in Amanda Clayton's three day workshop on 26/17/28 April. It was such a stimulating workshop enjoyed by all the students and seeing Mandy's own work was so inspirational.

So much so that Mandy has now been booked for 11th, 12th and 13th October and two of the students have already booked they place. Do click on this LINK for details.

As usual Mandy bought along masses of her own work, but only work that was relevant to the course and which showed clearly how ideas could be developed into something beyond just the sample. Not that sampling does not have its place and importance in learning these new techniques and processes. These images below are just sections of much bigger pieces of work and if you look closely you will see the extraordinary detail within each piece.

Course Description

Working from a collection of personal objects we will be looking at ways in which abstracted visual imagery might convey, explore and develop the idea of personal language, narrative and history through the interaction of making, materials and process. Matthew delivered this course some years ago now and it is one that I can recommend. It will get you thinking in new ways but also with opportunities of applying ideas to your current working practise. An excellent and stimulating 3 day course.
