Slan Leat,* Sifu Josh! Saturday, June 14th
Sifu Josh O'Halloran was SDSS of Fairfield's first student, the first to come on board as an instructor, and has become a treasured part of our Kung Fu family. Josh will graduate Ludlowe High School on Thursday, June 20th. Next, Josh will travel to China to earn his black belt at the Shaolin Temple from Grandmaster DeMasco and the Great Abbot Xi Yongxin. Then, it's off to Dublin to attend Maynooth College.
This Saturday is Josh's last day on staff at SDSS of Fairfield. He's going to be teaching group classes for Tigers, Dragons, and Sparring Club one last time. I'm sure we'll see him when his journeys take him to Fairfield, and he'll always have a martial home with us. *Slan Leat is a Gaelic term meaning "farewell." |

 Welcome Sifu David!
Sifu David Lopez joined the SDSS of Fairfield instructional team this spring, and we're fortunate to have someone of his talent on board. A skilled teacher, accomplished athlete, and terrific martial artist, Sifu David is completing his studies in the SDSS Academy of Professional Martial Arts Instruction. He continues to work closely with SDSS President Senior Master Mikael Meyer and Chief Instructor Sifu John on both his teaching and his Kung Fu.
"David was the perfect choice to join the Fairfield team," said Senior Master Meyer. "He has great energy, and the students are responding well. I look forward to seeing great things."
"I've known David for years, and he's as great a person as he is a teacher," said Sifu John. "He has a wonderful sense of humor, a passion for teaching, and he's a terrific athlete. He's a perfect fit for Fairfield."
