Pomerol is the most renowned region of Bordeaux's right bank and made famous by the mythical Chateau Petrus. Like Petrus, Merlot is the star here with a little Cabernet Franc mixed in for structure and added flavor complexity. Located in the southwestern part of Pomerol, the vineyard consists of 4 hectares of vines planted in gravelly sand mixed with iron and clay. It's a soil locally referred to as crasse de fer.  The wine features rich red and dark currant on the palate mixed with floral and earthy tones, giving it an elegant but robust texture. It is matured in french oak barrels for up to 24 months.

This wine is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grown on a 1.7 acre vineyard in Margaux, the left bank appellation made famous by the first growth, Chateau Margaux. Yohan Juste, who was awarded the Meilleure Ouvrier de France (Best Worker of France) in carpentry, owns this small plot of land where he applies the same meticulousness in his woodworking to making fine wine. Bunches are hand sorted, crushed and fermented in small vats, and then aged for 18 months in barrique. 

"The wine has a dense purple color and fragrant aromas of black currant white pepper, and baking spices. For a wine region dominated by large Chateaux, a single vineyard Margaux of this quality is a rare find."
