We come to many crucial decision points in our lives. None is more important than this: What do you do with Jesus? As we study John chapter 6 today, we will hear about many followers of Jesus who turned away because His teachings were too challenging and His path too narrow. Some prefer a Messiah whom they can tame, manipulate, and control.
So will we turn away? Will we leave? Blessed are those who recognize Jesus alone is the “Holy One of God” offering words of eternal life.

Caring for Carla
On Monday, June 17, 2024 Family of Christ will be hosting a Fundraiser Dinner and Silent Auction to help support former Director of Children’s Ministry Carla Wiederhold in her fight against cancer. Volunteers are needed to help! Please visit the exhibit table after worship or contact Patti Nelson in the church office to see all the ways you can help. Please visit the exhibit table after worship.
This summer Family of Christ would like to invite our church family to a series of fellowship events at local parks. These will take place on Wednesday mornings from 10am - 12pm every other week starting on June 19th and running until August 28th. Come any time, no need to RSVP. Feel free to join us when it works best for your family. You are welcome to invite friends and bring a picnic lunch if you wish. A church staff or volunteer will be present at each event with a pop-up tent and church sign as a gathering point. Make sure to stop by and say hello!
Our first gathering will be at Sophie’s Park in Andover. 1170 152nd Lane, Andover. This is a lovely neighborhood park with a nice playground and a basketball court with supplies to convert it to a pickleball court. There is a great covered picnic area so consider packing a picnic lunch! Jennifer Scheper, our Life Group Coordinator, lives adjacent to the park so bathroom facilities will be available. We look forward to seeing you there!
Pastor Keith has been extended a call to serve as Senior Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Mayer, Minnesota. Over the next couple weeks, he will seek the Holy Spirit’s discernment on whether to stay at Family of Christ or to lead at Zion. Please pray for both churches and God’s wisdom during this process.
Special Care Note
