Hello Kitty Girl Scout Program Saturday, November 22
SOLD OUT In this special program just for Girl Scouts, start your visit to Hello! Exploring the Supercute World of Hello Kitty before museum hours and then create your own Hello Kitty-inspired artwork. $10 members; $20 youth ages 6–17 without membership; $30 adults without membership. Museum admission, materials, and participation patches included. Limited to 45 participants. Additional Hello Kitty Girl Scout Program dates will be added for 2015. DISCOVER NIKKEINIKKEI NAMES: Taro, John, Juan, João? What’s in a name? Discover Nikkei, a project of JANM, is collecting stories that explore the origins and meanings of Nikkei names. These can include family names, given names, and even nicknames. All stories that meet the submission guidelines will be published on the Discover Nikkei website as part of the “Nikkei Names” series. Selected stories will be translated into the other site languages (English, Japanese, Spanish, and Portuguese). Deadline: October 31, 2014, 6 p.m. (PST) For more details and instructions, visit 5dn.org/names.
