Fall at the Seashore is fast approaching, and our calendar is full of classes, volunteer days, and so much more! From haiku-writing to a sand sculpture contest to sea chantey sing-alongs, you're sure to find an event that speaks to you. Information and registration details can be found below. Thur, Sept. 5 & Thurs, Sept. 19, 10:00am - 2:00pm

Remove invasive plant species from coastal dune habitats in the Abbotts Lagoon area. Advance registration is encouraged, but drop-ins are welcome too.

Sat, Sept. 7, 10:00am - 1:00pm

Wheelchair accessible hike with a great variety of trees in Bear Valley. Polish your plant identification skills while learning the stories of the forest.

Sat, Sept. 7, 9:00am - 3:30pm

Categories are children (fourteen years of age and under), families, and adult. Three prizes will be awarded in each of these categories!


Sat, Sept. 8, 11:00am - 1:00pm

We need your help pulling invasive ice plant from the North Beach area! Advance registration by emailing Cristobal Castañeda is encouraged.

California Coastal Cleanup Day is annual effort in which citizens come out to help collect data and clean up our beaches. Join us in making Drakes Beach cleaner!

Docents help foster stewardship of Point Reyes by helping visitors view and appreciate elephant seals & gray whales during their mating and migration seasons.

Basics of the ID process & general mushroom understanding will be discussed, and then a foray into nearby woods in search of seasonal fungi.
