I hope all of you are having an amazing summer. As families head off to vacations and camps, we wanted to make sure that you have important information as we begin to prepare for the fall sports season. FALL SPORTS - PRESEASON REQUIRED FORMS

As we near the start of the fall sports season, all students interested in participating in sports, grades 7-12 must have the following forms turned in prior to the start of the season in order to be able to practice with your team.

➢   FALL SPORTS SIGN UPS/ FINAL FORMS - If you have not already done so, please sign up for Bison Athletics on FinalForms by clicking on this link. This link will guide you to sign up for sports and will give you access to the necessary forms on “FinalForms”. It is important that both the parent/guardian and the student complete the forms. If you plan on participating in a winter or spring sport please sign up for them as well during the registration process.

➢   OHSAA PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FORM - All student athletes must have an updated physical on file prior to participation in any practices or games. This form can be found on FinalForms. Here is the link to the Physical Examination Form, in case you can’t locate it on FinalForms. This form can also be found when registering on FinalForms. That Physical Examination form must be completed by the parents/guardians and your child's doctor prior to the first day of practice and uploaded onto FinalForms. Physical examination forms are valid for 13 months.

COACHES COMMUNICATION

Our High School and Middle School fall coaches will be reaching out to all student athletes and families that have signed up for their specific sport in the next few days to provide information regarding the August practice schedules. They are unable to reach out to you until all of the forms on FinalForms have been updated. Most practices will begin the first week in August. If you have any questions regarding practices or information regarding the fall season please contact the head coach directly. IMPORTANT UPCOMING BISON ATHLETICS DATES

August 7, 2023 - 5pm & 6pm - Beachwood HS Auditorium

High School & Middle School Fall Sports Pre-Season Parent/Player/Coaches Meeting

If your child is participating in fall Bison Athletics you and your child must attend this pre- season meeting as we will have a brief overview of the fall season and meetings with our coaches. More information will be forthcoming. The Middle School meeting will start at 5pm and the High School meeting will start at 6pm in the Beachwood HS Auditorium. Following the meeting you will meet with your coaches regarding the upcoming season.

ATHLETIC BOOSTERS - JOIN TODAY

The Beachwood Athletic Boosters are integral to the success of Bison Athletics. The Boosters are a parent volunteer organization, who are dedicated to supporting the Beachwood athletic programs in grades K-12. With 23 high school teams, 19 teams at the middle school and a planned expansion into youth programming, our student athletes are as active on the field as they are in the classroom.

The Boosters invest in the resources that support our champion athletes, like:

➢   Community wide spirit engagement

➢   Promotional giveaways at big games

➢   Senior Athlete banners that hang outside or in the gym

➢   Seasonal sports posters

➢   Athlete of the Week recognition

➢   Athletic achievements

➢   Scholarships to outstanding senior athletes

➢   Special funding requests submitted by coaches and teams

➢   Co-sponsorship of Family Fun Night

➢   Send-off receptions and gear for state qualifiers
