National Hispanic Heritage Month!

From our President:

Dear Stamford Cradle to Career community,

As we step into the vibrant month of October, we are thrilled to continue celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month until October 15th. We encourage you to explore our Diversity Calendar for upcoming observances and events that promote inclusivity and unity within our community.

In addition to Hispanic Heritage Month, this month holds significance for multiple cultural and community observances. We would like to extend our warmest wishes to those observing Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah during this time. May these moments of reflection and celebration bring you peace and joy.

October is also a time to remember and raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Let us take a moment to honor and support the individuals and families affected by this disease. Together, we can continue to work towards a world where breast cancer is no longer a threat.

Excitingly, we are proud to support the Stamford Public Education Foundation (SPEF) as they host their Fall Fest on Sunday, October 1st. This event promises to be a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, have fun, and support education in Stamford.

We are also thrilled to shine a spotlight on the incredible work happening at Dolan and Rippowam Middle Schools under our Full-Service Community Schools Grant. Through collaboration with our school community and our community partners, we have been able to provide enriching opportunities for the students of these community schools. These efforts underscore the power of teamwork and collective commitment to our students' success.

Lastly, we would like to celebrate the invaluable contributions of Shawn Davis and Leticia Carroll, our Stamford Cradle to Career Community Schools Managers. Their dedication and hard work continue to make a positive impact on our community and its youth.

Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in Stamford Cradle to Career. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of our students and our city.

Warmly,

Edith Presley

President, Stamford Cradle to Career
