Fall News from Campus Ministry

Dear Partner in Ministry,

We have had a full and exciting start to the school year at LECM! I am grateful especially this year for the efforts of our student leadership team who put together our table at the UNC Involvement Fair, planned activities for our fall retreat, and are working hard to build deeper connections with our congregational partners. Their energy and creativity are bringing exciting life to our student community this fall, and I can't wait to see what else the year will bring for us!

As always, we give thanks for your partnership in this ministry. Your prayers, Sunday meals, and financial gifts allow us to continue to create a community of belonging for young adults in Greeley. Thank you for your support!

WHAT'S HAPPENING @LECM

Fall Retreat

We gathered with the communities of LuMin Fort Collins and Lutheran Campus Ministry in Boulder for our annual retreat at Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp in September. Together we challenged ourselves on the high ropes course, held worship in the great outdoors, made new friends over games of Uno and cribbage, and enjoyed time away with God and one another. Thank you to all the student leaders who helped plan and guide this retreat!

Michael Kirkpatrick '25

Hello, my name is Michael Kirkpatrick (he/him), I’m a 4th year student here at UNC, double majoring in English and Music, and I am the new Worship & Music Minister for LECM! What I love about LECM is how inclusive of a space our worship at the house feels. So often, outside of LECM, I feel as though I am breaking some sort of arbitrary rule, with great consequence; but at LECM, I feel like my input (and other students’ input) is welcomed and appreciated. I can’t wait to see what else this community has in store for the year!
